Inspired by the natural beauty of the Catskills Region and 19th century American folk art, this quilt is truly unbelievable in person. The translucent watercolor landscape is printed to silky cotton sateen, and mixes the ochres and mauves of a mountain sunset.
This special project is illustrated with dozens of embroidered pictures representing local landmarks like the Round Barn of Pakatakan Farmers Market and the Rondout Lighthouse, and includes all five fire towers that dot the area. Cabins, tents, and farmhouses appear alongside prancing sheep, leaping trout, forests and fields, rivers and roads.
